The company, which announced the agreement in November, completes the acquisition after completing the closing conditions.
- Grupo Fertiberia has today completed the acquisition of the company Van de Reijt, announced last November.
- As planned, all closing conditions have been met over the last few months.
The company thus integrates a well-known fertiliser wholesaler with logistics assets in Belgium and the Netherlands, with more than 150 years of history and a turnover in its last audited financial year of around 160 million Euros.
The company operates two maritime bulk terminals, one near Breda in the Netherlands and one in Grobbendonk (Belgium). This logistical position enables Van de Reijt to efficiently serve not only customers in Benelux, but also in Germany and Southeast Asia, thanks to efficient logistics from Rotterdam.
This operation is part of the ambitious internationalisation process of the company, which is the leader in the Iberian Peninsula and has a well-established position in France. With Van de Reijt, it is taking a decisive step in central and northern Europe, and is adding to its expansion in other markets where it has established new subsidiaries, such as Greece, Balkan countries and Sweden.
