Grupo Fertiberia, a European benchmark in the plant nutrition sector, is taking a strategic step in its evolution toward innovative, sustainable, and high-value-added solutions. The company is launching TRIXIA®, its biotechnology platform applied to agriculture, aiming to become an international reference player.
TRIXIA® offers a distinctive proposition in the market as it is built on the combination of scientific knowledge, agronomic expertise, and industrial capacity. The platform builds upon more than 35 years of history from TRICHODEX®, a pioneer in innovative biological solutions for Soil Health, Plant Health, and Plant Performance. Its leadership is rooted in a solid background in biocontrol, applied microbiology, and biostimulation. Alongside this, it leverages the financial, industrial, and commercial capabilities of Grupo Fertiberia to design, develop, and market stable, traceable, and scalable solutions with superior and consistent results, both independently and integrated into fertilizers, enhancing their agronomic and environmental efficiency, representing a clear competitive advantage in the sector.
TRIXIA® responds to the transformation taking place in global agriculture: nearly one-third of the world’s soils suffer from some degree of degradation (FAO), with over 60% of EU soils affected. This is compounded by climate change, resource scarcity, and increasingly strict regulatory and market demands, which mandate improving soil health and fertility, reducing nutrient loss, and increasing input usage efficiency.
