Grupo Fertiberia joins the CEOE

Grupo Fertiberia has signed an agreement to join the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE), a business organisation set up to coordinate, represent, manage, promote and defend the general and common business interests of Spanish companies

  • The membership has been ratified at the CEOE headquarters in Madrid in a ceremony attended by Grupo Fertiberia's president, Javier Goñi, and the president of the employers' association, Antonio Garamendi.

By signing this agreement, Grupo Fertiberia will participate in various commissions, councils and working groups of the CEOE, which deal with issues of interest in its field of activity. Additionally, Javier Goñi also become a member of the President's Advisory Council.

After signing the agreement, Goñi highlighted the importance of Grupo Fertiberia's incorporation "into the most important organisation for the defence of business interests, negotiation and social agreement in our country." During his speech, he recalled that the company is made up of 9 activity centres in Spain that generate 1,100 jobs "and that it is immersed in an ambitious transformation process to lead the fertilisation of the future in Europe, an enormous challenge that requires us to continue to grow in competitiveness and internationalisation, but also to approach it responsibly."

In this regard, he stressed that "the challenges of energy transition and decarbonisation are a commitment that all companies must assume to ensure a sustainable future, hence the importance of being integrated into a business platform such as CEOE, with a track record of more than 40 years working to strengthen our economy from all productive sectors."

In turn, Antonio Garamendi stressed that "it is great news that a company like Grupo Fertiberia is now part of the CEOE family, because it exemplifies the fruits of permanently applying innovation to its processes and products with a view to guaranteeing sustainability and respect for the environment."
