Madrid, 25/09/2025 – Fertiberia has launched the call for entries for the XXIX edition of the Rural Painting Contest for Children, an initiative established as an educational and cultural benchmark in which more than half a million girls and boys in all of Spain have participated throughout its history. Since its creation in 1996, the contest has helped to highlight the richness of the rural environment and strengthen the connection between new generations and agriculture, the landscape, and life in towns.
In this edition, primary school students in Years 1 to 4 who live in towns with fewer than 25,000 inhabitants are eligible to participate. The format of their entry must be horizontal and have Din A4 or Din A3 paper dimensions, and materials such as crayons, tempera paint or watercolours are recommended. Participants should also draw inspiration from the rural environment and aspects related to the primary sector.
The jury, made up of Fertiberia representatives, will select three winning entries. Their authors will receive scholarships worth €6,000, €4,000 and €2,000, respectively. Moreover, the winners’ schools will be awarded multimedia equipment worth €1,000 and an additional €1,000 for the corresponding Parents’ Associations (AMPA).
Entries will be accepted until the deadline of 30 November 2025.
