Fertiberia Rural Painting Contest for Children

State:

2024-25 Call for applications open

Created in 1996, this prize highlights the rural environment by encouraging schoolchildren to portray the natural and agricultural environment.

Project description

This award, which we launched in 1996, is aimed at students between the ages of 6 and 10 who are studying in rural towns and provinces of agricultural interest (specifically, in rural towns of less than 25,000 inhabitants). The participating pieces of work, which can use any technique and style, should be inspired by the world of agriculture and linked to nature, plants, their growth and function when generating food.

This event has been a great success in terms of participation since its inception, with more than 1,500 schools from all over Spain taking part. The growing number of participants is an endorsement of our initiative: with it, we value the rural environment by encouraging children to feel committed to their natural surroundings and the agricultural environment.
