Acid calcium nitrate solution

The acid calcium nitrate solution is manufactured at the Sagunto and Química del Estroncio plants and is obtained by mixing nitric acid, produced at the same plant, with calcium carbonate and demineralised water. This solution is mainly used in water treatment to neutralise and prevent the formation of hydrogen sulphide, which is responsible for bad smells in sewage and wastewater treatment plants.

Another application is as an additive for concrete setting. It is added to concrete before or after mixing and allows to change its characteristics.This product is supplied in bulk in full 24 tonne tanks.
