Improving energy efficiency in the nitric acid plant compressor at the Sagunto plant

The aim is to increase performance relative to the current rotor by about 1.5%. This represents an annual reduction of 2,595 MWh.

Objective

Replacement of the gas compressor rotor at this plant, changing it for a new and improved design that increases the optimum performance of the previous design by at least 1.5% for the current working point.

This improvement represents an annual reduction in consumption of 2,595 MWh.
