Objectives
The main objective of this project is to reduce energy consumption at the ammonia production plant in Avilés.
At Fertiberia, we have developed an ammonium nitrate production process by means of which a high quality product is obtained, adding sulphur via sulphuric acid and obtaining the product directly concentrated to 98% by weight, in a new reactor without the need for a concentration stage, improving the performance of the reaction, eliminating the consumption of steam for concentration and reducing as much as possible entrained elements in the condensate products.
