- From TRICHODEX® Grupo Fertiberia, we thank our collaborators, customers and friends for networking together throughout the 18th edition of ABIM (https://www.abim.ch/)- International Annual Biocontrol Industry International from Basel (Switzerland), 23-25 October, with over 1800 participants from more than 50 countries.
- Event in which our General Manager Dr. Khalid Akdi, accompanied by Maria Dolores Gomis, from the Research and Development Department, have actively participated in the IBMA AUTUMN GENERAL ASSEMBLY (AGM) as in the meetings of Microbials and Natural substances professional working groups.

In this edition, Delegates joined sessions highlighting innovations and digital solutions as well as workshops on how to make biocontrol more accessible to growers and understanding how investors think. Moreover, there was the unique opportunity to engage with EU regulators and senior policy officers from DG SANTE (Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission) as well as representatives of CTGB (Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides).
Another issue of great interest is the Sustainable Use Regulation (SUR), a key piece of legislation providing an EU-wide definition of biocontrol and the power to accelerate the transition to greater sustainability in agriculture. It has the potential to give more and more farmers access to solutions enabling them, and future generations of farmers, to manage their crops productively while enhancing biodiversity and building resiliency on their farms. Here at ABIM we have seen the biocontrol industry is ready to deliver these solutions.
Biocontrol is crucial for a sustainable agriculture in a short and long-term future to ensure resilient agriculture worldwide.
