
The recognition highlights the involvement of the Puertollano team in initiatives that improve the quality of life for people with different abilities.
- The Fundación Fuente Agria has presented Fertiberia with the Ten-Point Charter of Rights recognized in the 2006 New York International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which outlines the fundamental principles, rights, and values for people with disabilities, including the right to employment, leisure, independent living, and association.
Puertollano, 7 April 2025 – The Fertiberia factory in Puertollano has been honored with the Honorary Recognition from the Fundación Fuente Agria and has received the Ten-Point Charter of Rights for its involvement and commitment to inclusion and functional diversity projects carried out in 2024, such as the Work Clothing Project, in which students from the occupational center were responsible for bagging uniforms for the entire staff.
“They deserved this recognition. In this collaboration, there has been a lot of closeness, understanding, and a very important connection after valuing the work being done,” said Mercedes García, director of the Fundación Fuente Agria.

A student from the center presented the Ten-Point Charter to the director of the Fertiberia factory in Puertollano, José Antonio Cabello, in the presence of the councilors for training and employment, María Castellanos; the councilor for the environment, Coral Rodríguez; the president of Aspades-La Laguna, Casto Sánchez; and the manager of Laborvalía, Alfonso Gutiérrez, as well as members of Fertiberia’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and other plant employees.
During the event, attendees toured the Foundation’s workshops and spaces, with the users themselves guiding the tour and showing what their daily routines consist of.

José Antonio Cabello, director of the Fertiberia factory in Puertollano, emphasized, “Walking hand in hand with organizations like the Fundación Fuente Agria is a way to create a real and positive impact on our local communities. Additionally, promoting projects that make life easier for people with different abilities and their families is our way of contributing to a more inclusive society while raising awareness and fostering measures in the corporate environment.”
