Replacement of boilers in the secondary reformer at the ammonia manufacturing plant in Palos de la Frontera

State:

The project aims to replace the three existing heat exchangers with three new double tube heat exchangers.

Objectives

The project aims to replace the three existing heat exchangers with three new double tube heat exchangers. .

In this design neither process gas nor water/steam flows through the boiler shell space. There are no preferred paths and the only parts subjected to high pressure are the gas collecting chambers.

As a result, the double tube design provides non-stop operation, with less damage to the tube bundles and a long service life, as well as optimum exchanger performance.
